seeking a Maintenance Electrical Tech for our Conneaut, OH Plant.
Position Summary:Recommend new and trouble shoot current
electronic, electrical and mechanical systems, including pneumatics
and robotics on N/C equipment, as well as machinery and equipment
with microprocessors (PLC's) and control systems.Essential Job
Functions:
- Work with engineering in the design and installation of new
equipment and modification to existing equipment.
- Installation and trouble shoot machine relays, proximity
switches, limit switches, sensors, high and low voltage components.
3 phase, single phase power supplies. Trouble shoot and diagnose
large and small 3 phase motors.
- Has responsibility for continuous improvement, corrective
actions and quality of products.
- Collect, update and maintain files for all machines including
wiring diagrams, schematics, parts lists, installation manuals,
trouble shooting and preventative maintenance manuals.
- Establish direct contacts with key technical services and
vendors to maintain
- up-to-date knowledge of control systems and techniques for
trouble shooting and purchasing for the maintenance
department.
- Establish spare parts and inventory control on maintenance
computer.Qualifications:
- At least two years of trade school in hydraulics, electronics
and mechanical maintenance or equivalent on-the-job training with
proven results. High school graduate or equivalent vocational
training.
- Background in trouble shooting compression or injection presses
is preferred.
- SPCC (Spill Prevention Containment Countermeasures) - oil.
- Must possess problem solving and decision making techniques, be
able to work well without direct supervision and adaptable to new
ideas and responsibility.
- Able to analyze and solve production problems, making judgments
in priority.
- Must be able to cover line calls for electrical and pneumatic
systems.
- Familiar with Programmable logic controllers.
- Must be able to collect, update and maintain files for all
machines including wiring diagrams, schematics, part lists and
maintenance manuals.
- Complete appropriate documentation and log books.
- Working knowledge of molding processes and secondary
equipment.
- Be able to drive Forklift.
- Be able to lift at least 30 lbs.
- Be able to work any shift.
- Be able to work overtime with little or no notice.
- Must be mechanically oriented.
- Support and assist all work centers.
- Keep machinery, equipment and plant structure in operating
condition.
- Must be able to prioritize workload with other work
centers.
- Perform scheduled preventative maintenance.
- Assist in shut down and start up of the plant according to
procedures.
- Must possess problem solving skills. Able to analyze and solve
problems, making judgements in priority.
- Adaptable to new ideas and responsibility.
- Must be able to work well without direct supervision.
- Good oral and written communication skills. Interpersonal
skills to work effectively with others.
- Manual dexterity required in bending, lifting and control of
arms, wrists and hands in various positions.
