SUMMARY
Position is responsible for the provision of overall maintenance
support throughout the health system assisting and repairing all
facility components as directed or as capable.
JOB DUTIES
Maintains repairs and installs equipment components through
established preventative maintenance (PM) and work order process as
assigned.

Installs, maintains and repairs sinks, toilets, hot shot's and
other plumbing fixtures.

Ensures regulatory compliance through efficient equipment
operation.

Completes all documentation as required.

Assists with repair, testing and inspection of fire safety, life
safety, communication and electrical components of the utility and
safety systems.

Perform maintenance assignments in any facility area as
directed.

Perform work in conformance with regulatory, licensing and other
adopted standards.

Conducts tests, inspections and equipment checks on equipment in
inventory prior to placing into service at any system facility
site, ensuring compliance with all applicable code requirements and
standards.

other as required.

timely manner.

SPECIFIC JOB DEMANDS
Strength: Heavy Work -Lifting, Carrying, Pushing, Pulling 50 - 100
Lbs. occasionally, 20 - 50 Lbs. frequently, 10 - 20 Lbs.
constantly.
Climbing: Occasionally - Ascending or descending ladders, stairs,
scaffolding, ramps, poles, and the like, using feet, and legs or
hands and arms. Body agility is important.
Stooping: Frequently - Bending body downward and forward by bending
spine at the waist, requiring full use of the lower extremities and
back muscles.
Kneeling: Frequently - Bending legs at knees to come to rest on
knee or knees.
Crouching: Frequently - Bending body downward and forward by
bending legs and spine.
Reaching: Frequently - Extending hand(s) or arm(s) in any
direction.
Handling: Frequently - Seizing, holding, grasping, turning, or
otherwise working with hand or hands. Fingers are involved only to
the extent that they are an extension of the hand, such as to turn
a switch or shift automobile gears.
Talking: Occasionally - Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of
the spoken word to impart oral information to clients or to the
public and to convey detailed spoken instructions to other workers
accurately, loudly, or quickly.
Hearing: Occasionally - Perceiving the nature of sounds by ear.
Near Acuity: Occasionally - Clarity of vision at 20 inches or
less.
MINIMUM EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or equivalent gained through
previous experience. Use of personal vehicle with mileage
reimbursement provided is required. Must be a safe, licensed,
insured driver in the state of Pennsylvania and current evidence of
same must be on file at all times.
JUDGMENT: Ability to use independent judgment, working with minimal
supervision.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Work areas are routinely clean within the hospital facility;
however, upon occasion may be hot, dirty and cramped. Potential for
exposure to hazards associated with electrical and mechanical tools
and equipment. Required to travel to other facilities on
occasion.
