Job Description:

What you will do: Under general direction, provide coaching and training to a team of Fleet Analysts and Fleet Coordinators to manage the BTS NA Field Fleet of approximately 19,000 units and an annual budget of about $180 million. Oversee the execution of the Fleet Strategies implemented by the NA Corporate Fleet team under the guidance of the Fleet Operations Manager. The position requires senior level work in which the position holder must use expertise to identify deficiencies. This level of expertise qualifies the individual to make sound judgments and take independent corrective action. The position works with minimal supervision acting independently in making decisions requiring specialized knowledge of fleet management processes. A thorough understanding of internal Johnson Controls business practices and applications are involved to various degrees in managing the design, development, implementation and monitoring of procedures and applications. How you will do it: * Foster teamwork and collaboration. Seasoned people manager passionate about mentoring and coaching teams. * Guides and directs the execution of the team's core tasks and activities. * Ensures a conducive work environment for enhanced productivity and delivery. Gain understanding of the needs of each staff member and communicate to management to ensure that tools/resources/training needs are provided to ensure successful operations. * Confident communicator with the ability to interact at all levels, including working closely with cross functional teams * Maintain familiarity with DOT regulations. Ensure team is educated and aware of regulations and assists with governing field DOT compliance. * Ensure adequate staffing coverage for phone line. Administration of team vacation calendar * Oversee field compliance with Personal Use Charge and Tolls/Violations payments * Participates in team goal-setting and individual development plan activities * Liaison with HR and Legal Counsel to ensure policy compliance * Other duties as assigned What we look for: High-energy multitasker who can communicate effectively with interdepartmental staff and help an organization meet its goals successfully. Experience with people and project management activities. * Bachelor's Degree in operations management, business management, business administration or five years equivalent experience required * Demonstrated conflict management skills * Ability to engage in multiple assignments concurrently in adherence to deadlines with successful completion * Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate and interact with all levels of management, both internal and external * Competencies: Command skills, driver for results, dealing with ambiguity, leading through influence * Results oriented and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment requiring prioritization and ownership * Strong experience in project implementation and process documentation * Advanced understanding of business processes and ability to consider implications to current and future state business environment * Strong leadership skills and a proven track record of successful mentoring/coaching * Extensive experience in dealing with ambiguity and changing priorities in a fast-paced business environment; flexibility to quickly adapt to new challenges * Ability to work in a self-directed environment * Strong ability to manage both tactical and strategic work streams relating to area of responsibility * Advanced organizational, analytical, problem solving, planning and change management skills * Experience leading large scale project initiatives with demonstrated implementation success * Ability to work collaboratively with multi-location remote teams across time zones. * Ability to cultivate strong working relationships with peers, cross functional departments and external vendors * Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to present clear and concise information to team, internal customers and external partners * Demonstrated attentiveness to quality and productivity * Proficient computer skills within the following applications: Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Internet business application usage. Familiarity with Salesforce.com/Service Cloud a plus.
