As a global company, we have offices in nine countries and can insert advertisements around the world.Job SummaryAs a software engineer, you will play a crucial role in the development, deployment, and maintenance of data pipelines and infrastructure within our organization. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and optimize data solutions that enable efficient data processing, storage, and analysis. -Job DescriptionKey Responsibilities: -

  • Design, implement, and maintain scalable data pipelines to ingest, transform, and store large volumes of data from various sources. -
  • Proficient coding, debugging, and troubleshooting skills to resolve complex technical issues
  • Develop efficient data models and schemas to support analytics and reporting requirements. Optimize data processing and storage solutions for performance and scalability. -
  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to ensure high availability and reliability. -
  • Collaborate with product managers and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver data solutions that meet business needs. Communicate technical concepts and solutions effectively to non-technical stakeholders. -
  • Stay abreast of emerging technologies and best practices in data engineering. Identify opportunities to improve data processes, tools, and infrastructure to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. - -
  • Document data pipelines, processes, and systems to ensure clarity and maintainability. Share knowledge and best practices with team members to foster a culture of learning and collaboration. -
  • Develop tools supporting self-service data pipeline management. -
  • Work with and mentor junior Data Engineers. -
  • Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance. -
  • Aptitude to identify process improvements and work closely with engineering teams and vendorsQualifications: -
    • Experience with GoLang
    • Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field. - -
    • 7-10 years of relevant work experience requiring 5+ years of software engineering experience, with 2+ years of experience in data engineering (nice to have). -
    • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python. -
    • Proficient data analytics skills
    • Solid SQL skills with experience in writing complex queries, stored procedures, and optimizing database performance. -
      • Experiences with data warehouse, data modeling techniques, ETL processes, and relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL). -
      • Familiarity with AWS (EC2, S3, MWAA, etc), and proficiency in managing cloud-based data solutions like Databricks
      • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. -
      • Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment. -
      • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced environment. -
      • Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
      • Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and overtime as necessary.
