Job Description:
SUMMARY: Thorough knowledge of and ability to SET UP and perform
punching/sanding/brushing operations on the C-coil line. Perform a
wide variety of Mill operations. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND
RESPONSIBILITIES: A wide variety of Mill operations with required
knowledge and ability to SET UP Cold Roll (non Waterbury) and all
Draw Benches. Perform operations such as pointing and drawing of
metals. Must be able to operate annealing furnace and stress
relieving furnaces(s): Seco and Sunbeam. Also included the
segmenting of product which includes various SCS, and de twist and
Segment operations. Also included, would be burring operations such
as vibratory and belt sanding. Ability to assist in all capacities
(with the exception of operating the presses) as it would relate to
billet cutting and loading, stacking tooling and loading, catching,
block busting and processing material once extruded. Will assist in
training of new employees when required. Adhering to Companywide
safety policies and practices. QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job

EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or general education degree (GED);
and six to twelve months related experience and/or training.
MATHEMATICAL and/or COMPUTER SKILLS: Ability to calculate figures
and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, and
circumference. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and
geometry. Knowledge of computer operation and related software
required. REASONING ABILITY: Ability to solve practical problems
and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where
only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety
of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule
form. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Operate fork lift
truck (will be licensed in accordance with OSHA power industrial
truck operator requirements.) PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical

The employee must regularly lift and or move up to 10 lbs. and
occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 lbs. with the use of jib
cranes and other moving and lifting devices. While performing the
duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk;
use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and
arms. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel,
crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up
to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job
include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral
vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. WORK
ENVIRONMENT: The work environment characteristics described here

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Detect quantity discrepancies,
defective material, unusual conditions or operating difficulties
and report to proper supervision. Will complete data transactions
where necessary. Perform changing lubrication, cleaning and
maintenance of equipment when necessary. Will maintain a clean and
orderly work area at all times. A working knowledge of all
job-related Quality Management System operating procedures and work
