Program details:

  • 4-6 week long course in a hybrid classroom/field work-type setting under the supervision of a Pediatric Director and Nurse Educator
  • 6 month Supervision with Nurse Educator and RN Supervisor
  • Maximum three-person class size
  • Interim HealthCare will cover all costs of the classes
  • Will need 2 clinical references.
  • Must pass the boards prior to offer 
  • Must be licensed in the state of PA prior to being offered a seat in the program. 
  •  **Will hire as an HHA prior to taking the boards**

What you’ll do:

  • The first two weeks of classes will consist of a combination of six lecture days and four clinical days where specific types care is to be observed.
  • During weeks three and four, precepted nurses will perform direct patient care under the guidance of a precepting field staff nurse. Evaluations will be completed at the end of week four to assess if the precepted nurse will continue with further training or move to week five and six
  • Week 5 and six will last for a minimum of two weeks, where precepted nurses will then be evaluated and monitored for six months as they work across different cases. Once the six months is over, the precepted nurse will be classified and scheduled the same as pediatric credentialed field staff.  


What we’re looking for:

  • Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) certification  
  • Must be flexible in shifts, weekends, and locations to be available for a minimum of 32 hours per week
