Job Description:

The Systems Administrator II maintains and supports all applications used by the Data Center and Northwest. This individual also mentors junior staff members and designs and documents monitoring and recovery procedures for automated jobs. Knowledge with ServiceNow a plus!

Essential Functions

Essential Functions

  • Ensure compliance with Northwest policies, procedures, and Federal/State regulations
  • Navigate Microsoft Office Software, computer applications, and software specific to the Information Systems department in order to maximized technology tools and gain efficiency
  • Optimize applications used across the IT department and suggest alternative applications
  • Automate daily processes on both the core system and other Windows based systems using the banks automation software
  • Design and document monitoring and recovery procedures for automated jobs
  • Provide Tier 2/3 support for Automated jobs during off hours
  • Mentor junior level team members
  • Design implementation scenarios for new users of existing systems; and expansion of existing software and hardware, such as new operating systems and upgraded equipment
  • Follow documented procedures and utilizing consistent practices to assure the optimal functioning of infrastructure
  • Perform new user, information management, and software and hardware installation and configuration as directed by senior team members
  • Provide additional Tier 1 and 2 support in the event of critical need
  • Support specialized account creation and maintenance functions, where necessary
  • Adhere to infrastructure and applications security procedures
  • Provide first level support to select infrastructure and line-of-business applications
  • Support central and branch infrastructure performance and availability principles
  • Maintain documentation of operational changes to existing systems
  • Coordinate testing, rollout, and application of ongoing software patches / upgrades
  • Coordinate with peer and contract-consulting staff to achieve project deliverables and time lines
  • Support all applications used at Northwest
  • Work as part of a team
  • Work with onsite equipment

Additional Responsibilities

  • Assist with other IT related special projects as determined by business need
  • Recommend improvements to procedures and quality control
  • Recommend product, service, and delivery enhancements
