Licensed Starting Rate $35.00/hr

SUMMARY

The Behavioral Consultant-Applied Behavior Analysis (BC-ABA) performs a variety of job duties under the supervision of the Clinical Director and recognizes clinical updates and recommendations from the written order. The BC-ABA develops and directs the individualized treatment of clients collaboratively with consumers and families. The BC-ABA provides consultation, assessment, observation, treatment plan development, data collection, and analysis specific to identified target behaviors. The BC-ABA develops and implements an Individualized Treatment Plan (ITP) with the child and family, identifying and highlighting child, family, educational, social, and recreational strengths as well as areas in which the individual needs improvement. Provision of this service may include preference assessments, reinforcement, extinction, time-out strategies, or other rehabilitative activities as prescribed by a licensed psychologist or psychiatrist and referenced in the clients Individual Treatment Plan. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Develops individualized client treatment. Provides support to parents, teachers, or community officials. Provides clinical support to direct care staff and BHT, BHT-ABA, Assistant BC-ABA. Implements rewards and consequences relating to appropriate and inappropriate behavior. Coordinates clinical information/direction with other professionals and agencies. Exchanges information clearly and concisely with the appropriate parties and concerns. Completes all paperwork and documentation in accordance with established company policies and procedures and acceptable clinical practices within designated timeframes. Completes ongoing assessment of operationally defined target behaviors using direct and indirect methods. Performs Functional behavior Assessments as needed (upon completion of FBA certification). Remains updated on evidenced based behavioral practices. Provides culturally aware and competent service provision Teaches skills related to adaptive functioning using least restrictive methods. Accepts cases and works within his/her own educational, training, and competency guidelines to ensure ethical and effective treatment delivery Completes initial training curriculum as per company requirements and guidelines. An individual who provides behavior analytic services or behavior consultationABA services shall complete at least 16 hours of training annually related to the individuals specific job functions and is in accordance with the individual training plan required under. Provide clinical supervision on an ongoing basis to BHT, BHT-ABA, Assistant BC-ABA assigned to their cases with a minimum of one face to face visit every 30 days with the client and the BHT, BHT-ABA, Assistant BC-ABA is present. This position requires travel up to 50% of the time. REQUIRED EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

As addressed in the IBHS service description, and stated in the BC-ABA Services Training Manual. Be licensed in this Commonwealth as a psychologist, professional counselor, marriage and family therapist, clinical social worker, social worker, behavior specialist, certified registered nurse practitioner or a professional with a scope of practice that includes overseeing the provision of ABA services and have a certification as a BCBA or other graduate-level certification in behavior analysis . Be licensed in this Commonwealth as a psychologist, professional counselor, marriage and family therapist, clinical social worker, social worker, behavior specialist, certified registered nurse practitioner or a professional with a scope of practice that includes overseeing the provision of ABA services and have one of the following : A certification as a BCaBA or other undergraduate-level certification. A minimum of 1 year of full-time experience providing ABA services and a minimum of 12 credits in ABA from a college or university. A minimum of 1 year of full-time experience providing ABA services under the supervision of a professional with a certification as a BCBA or other graduate-level certification in behavior analysis and a minimum of 40 hours of training related to ABA. Be licensed in this Commonwealth as a psychologist and have a minimum of 1 year of full-time experience providing ABA services and a minimum of 40 hours of training related to ABA.

Must have PA Criminal, PA Child Abuse and FBI Clearances

PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

1 year related experience and/or training. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Language Skills Ability to develop, read and analyze treatment plans. Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries regarding clients and/or families. Ability to document data and effectively consult with treatment team members both verbally and in writting. Ability to transfer skills to the care giver. Mathematical Skills Ability to understand and apply general math skills. Reasoning Ability Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, implement effective intervention from the treatment plan and draw valid conclusions. ADDITIONAL ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS

Thorough knowledge of the basic principles of psychology and Applied Behavior Analysis. Thorough knowledge of mental disabilities and treatments and social implications. Thorough knowledge of behavior analysis, psychological techniques, theories, and practices employed in the modification of human behavior. Must possess the ability to analyze complex issues and solve them correctly and creatively. Must possess strong communication skills in both a verbal and written format. Must possess the ability to meet established deadlines and schedules. Must be able to maintain confidentiality in all matters relating to the clients and the clients family. Must be organized and efficient. Must possess leadership qualities. Must be able to demonstrate the ability to assign directives responsibly in a clear, concise manner.
