The Senior Agile Team Leader will drive agile projects to completion by leading planning, execution, and delivering sprints. He/She/They will schedule and facilitate agile ceremonies for digital products. This position will work closely with the Technology Platform Manager and Product Owner to champion the team's development and delivery of incremental business functionality following agile concepts and principles. This individual will assist an agile team by removing any working obstacles and by facilitating a healthy, productive team dynamic. As servant leader, the Senior Agile Team Leader will apply proven communication skills, problem-solving skills, and knowledge of agile best practices to guide the team on issues encountered during the software development life cycle. Further, this role will assist in remediating team issues while helping to keep the team on track with the release schedule. This is a US Remote Only Role.

This person will work toward developing, identifying, analyzing and improving existing agile business processes including: applying process definition, improvement and design methodologies to identify, analyze and improve business processes to improve quality, reduce costs, increase efficiencies/productivity, increase customer satisfaction, etc.; developing documentation to support analysis and improvement including business requirements, functional specifications, process maps and gap/problem analysis.

Your Day to Day:

  • Organizes and facilitates all scrum ceremonies, such as daily stand-up meetings, sprint reviews, retrospectives, sprint and release planning, demos, and other meetings as needed
  • Ensures all product backlog items and stories are broken down to the task level
  • Monitors and maintains agile team reports including burn down charts, velocity reports, and sprint escapes.
  • Works with the agile team to pull work from the backlog into each sprint and to plan the sprints
  • Coordinates with other Agile Team Leaders on integration and interdependency of requirements
  • Guides the team to ensure a solid understanding of the ceremonies, expectations, deliverables, dependencies, and their role in the Agile development methodology
  • Provides guidance and facilitates conversations as needed on sizing stories, choosing stories for sprints, splitting stories and determining story details
  • Coordinating with quality assurance and compliance processes
  • Removes barriers and risks for the agile team as they are identified
  • Coordinates with the Product Owner on prioritizing and grooming the product backlog

Who You Are:

  • B.S. degree or related discipline preferred; equivalent experience is acceptable
  • 4+ years of experience as a Scrum Master, Agile Team Leader, Agile Business Analyst, or Agile Project Manager for a software development team that diligently applied Agile principles and practices
  • 4+ years working on SDLC projects in one or more capacities
  • First level Scrum Master certification (Professional Scrum Master (PSM) I or Certified Scrum Master (CSM) preferred)
  • Excellent project management, organization, and team collaboration skills;
  • Exemplifies and promotes Agile values and principles;
  • Ability to anticipate risks and devise solutions in the moment;
  • Comfort with ambiguity, frequent change, or unpredictability;
  • Strong communicator, personable, strong business analysis skills, collaborative mindset, and inquisitive behavior & disposition;
