Job Description:

PURPOSE: To develop training programs for Patient Access Services throughout the healthcare organization utilizing the Meditech ADM, ARM and CWS modules. Responsible for Registration, Scheduling and Authorization training needs assessments of all facility owned and/or based departments. Works directly with PAS Manager and PAS Leadership Team to identify needs, goals and timelines. Oversees the work processes of ADM, ARM and CWS modules to ensure process standardization, consistency and implements effective process improvements. Process weekly reporting to ensure accuracy of all Registration and Scheduling functions and provide feedback to all healthcare departments. Provides education and training for Patient Access Services throughout the healthcare organization: Demonstrates thorough knowledge of hospital patient access process, Coordinates and provides training of new employees and re-fresher training for current staff, Provides educational tracking records for continual employee education, Provides education to all staff responsible for registering or scheduling patients, Prepares training objectives and shares with management, Ability to coordinate and schedule on the job training, Participates in employee performance abilities and provides input to Manager, Develop all training manuals specific to Meditech modules, Develop all training materials specific to facility owned and/or based departments, Maintain and update training manuals at all times, Review and monitor performance to ensure accuracy, Identify performance improvements and integrate new processes, Inform staff of relevant changes and developments, Ability to probe, analyze and articulate subject matter to be easily understood, Promotes and contributes positively to the teamwork of the departments. Demonstrated customer service skills in interactions with all patients, families and staff, including high volume and stressful situations. Ability to solve problems and identify solutions. Ability to plan, direct and evaluate the work of subordinates. Ability to energize team members. Ability to provide leadership and influence others. Ability to adjust communications to fit the needs and level of understanding of the receiver. Strong organizational skills and ability to set priorities. Minimum Qualifications: Excellent oral and written communication skills, Ability to problem solve and make appropriate decisions, Demonstrated ability to train employees, Knowledge of Microsoft office products, Experience as a Meditech Super User. Physical Demands: Must be able to sit for extended periods of time, Visual acuity must be within normal range, Must have reading and comprehensive ability, Normal office type environment
