Are you an experienced professional with exceptional creative writing skills? PPG is seeking an experienced and ambitious Digital Content Strategist to oversee the development, execution, and delivery of digital content across all our channels. In this role, you will be responsible for owning and executing a B2C digital marketing content strategy for a set of brands within PPG's Architectural Coatings business. This person will work closely with both internal and external partners and various platforms to optimize and develop campaigns and content for all digital channels: SEO, SEM, Social, Email, and 3P e-commerce. Core responsibilities include: creating, improving, and maintaining content to achieve our business goals. Your duties will also include raising brand awareness through content and monitoring website traffic and metrics to identify best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

* Curate monthly content strategies using keyword research and competitive analyses. * Set goals across all channels: SEO, paid search, e-mail marketing, social media, and customer re-engagement. * Set site audits. Optimize websites using SEO best practices as well as plan and execute content that is optimized for SEO and aligns to the goals of the brand(s). Drive organic sessions. * Manage brand YouTube channels and optimize individual videos. * Partner with Digital Operations team/Marketing ROI on Google Analytics, measuring and reporting on organic traffic and conversion trends & building improvement plans. * Lead development, execution, and optimization of all 3P e-commerce content. Working with the Digital team to improve content scores and continually update content stream. * Manage content creation and optimization for email campaigns - work closely with digital marketing and brand management to plan annual campaign calendar and target audiences. * Implement initiatives for maintenance of ongoing SEO health and growth. * Establish and maintain brand SEO best practices, workflows, and optimization methodologies. * Maintain a deep understanding of assigned brands, relevant audience, and meaningful data. * Establish budgets and efficiently allocate spend. * Expertise in Google Suite (GSC, GMB, GA) and local SEO * Experience in a growth marketing, content strategy, UX, or growth product role * An understanding of conversion optimization, SEO best practices, growth marketing, and principles of experimentation * Experience working across marketing channels on full-funnel projects. * A journalistic approach to content marketing and a user-centric approach to designing content. * An understanding of performance marketing and web analytics, including Google Analytics. * Passion for solving big challenges. * Familiarity with types of market research.


* Accountable for all content marketing initiatives to drive traffic, engagement, and leads, that deliver sales and customer retention. * Collaborate with marketing partners to deliver an effective content marketing strategy and editorial plan to meet the business objectives. * Expected to publish a minimum of 3 blog posts a week. * Possess a brand publisher mindset: create the content our audience is looking for and then optimize the path to conversion. * Editorial requirements include basic SEO understanding, content categorization, and structure, content development, distribution, and measurement. * Ability to adapt writing style so content is consistent with our brand voice, style, and tone. * Measurement and optimization of the program on a regular and ongoing basis * BA/BS in Journalism, English, Marketing or a related field, or equivalent working experience * 3-5 years of experience * Experience creating content in the digital marketing arena (blogging, social media, email, and website) * Editorial mindset that seeks to understand what audiences consume and how to create it. * Ability to analyze the analytics of content and social performance. * Experience with Google Analytics, top social channels, and Square Space is a plus * Project management skills and understanding how to manage the priorities in a complex environment and focus on the delivery of results in the form of engagement, leads, and sales.
