The Department of Biological Sciences at the University of Pittsburgh invites applications for a part-time Lecturer position for the summer term from 17 May 2021 to 4 June 2021. This position is outside of the tenure stream and involves teaching the field course BIOSC 1140 Behavioral Ecology . This is an intensive, three-week class that meets Monday-Friday 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. The course normally is a field course, but due to COVID-19 will meet remotely. The instructor should include assignments that include components of a field/lab course that can be completed by students remotely. Minimum qualifications are an MS degree in biology or related field with some teaching experience, preferred qualifications are a Ph.D. in the biological sciences, experience teaching a field course, experience teaching online, and experience teaching Behavioral Ecology or a similar course.
