Full-Time, Tenure Track, Assistant or Associate Professor in the Nursing Department beginning Fall 2021 (August 2021). Duties include but are not limited to Simulation instruction in the BSN programs includes designing, running and evaluating simulations in concert with curricular needs. Content areas of simulation include fundamental, medical/surgical (basic and advanced), maternity, pediatric, community and mental health. Candidate will maintain equipment and supplies associated with simulation and Nursing Arts lab. May be face to face or online format to meet curricular needs. Primary focus of non-simulation, is classroom instruction in the fundamental, medical surgical area or consistent with needs of department.

Responsibilities

This position may be assigned to perform work at off-campus sites and/or provide instruction through distance education.

Required Qualifications

Master of Science in Nursing ( MSN )

Applicants should have experience in simulation teaching as well as clinical experience in Medical surgical nursing

Active Pennsylvania Registered Nurse licensure

CPR for Healthcare Providers Laboratory testing required by clinical agencies

Criminal background and child abuse clearances

Preferred Qualifications

Doctorate preferred

Minimum of 2 years teaching experience, Experience with simulation teaching.

The school/department seeks candidates whose research, teaching, or service has prepared them to contribute to our commitment to diversity and inclusion in higher education.

Specific Duties

Coordinate and run simulation activities for NURS courses including: Update scenarios in conjunction with clinical faculty, manage sim equipment (maintenance, cleaning, repairs, replacement), manage supplies for sim and Nursing Arts Lab, Set up/ take down, run sims, debrief, collect evaluation data of sim activities.
