Job Description Job Description Overview CTG is seeking to fill an Onsite Data Entry Specialist – AS/400 (Contract) position for our client. Location: Niagara Falls, NY Duration: 4 months Duties: Perform high-volume, accurate data entry directly into the AS/400 (IBM iSeries) system. Update and maintain pay schedules for multiple civil service job classes as part of a large-scale pay-plan update initiative. Work with complex pay-plan structures, including job grades, multiple job titles per grade, step progressions, and longevity tiers. Validate entered data for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with established pay plans and documentation. Collaborate onsite with payroll and administrative staff to support project timelines and deliverables. Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive payroll and employee data. Skills: Exceptional attention to detail and data accuracy. Ability to interpret and follow structured pay plans, tables, and procedural documentation. Strong organizational skills and ability to manage repetitive tasks without loss of accuracy. Comfort working in legacy or mainframe systems, particularly AS/400 environments. Experience: Proven experience in high-volume, system-driven data entry roles. Prior experience with AS/400 / IBM iSeries is strongly preferred. Payroll, HRIS, or compensation-related data entry experience preferred. Experience working within government, municipal, or civil service environments is a plus. Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Additional coursework or training in business, information systems, or related fields is a plus. Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
