variety of other perks. Job Title: Cerner Integration Architect Job
Summary: The Cerner Integration Architect (IA) is responsible for
designing, implementing, and maintaining integration solutions that
support the seamless exchange of clinical and operational data
across Cerner platforms and third-party systems. The IA plays a
critical leadership role in managing and optimizing Cerner
environments, with a strong focus on interoperability, solution
compliance, and package management. Additionally, the role includes
participation in Oracle Health hosting calls, ownership of
technical issue remediation, and alignment of integration
strategies with the broader goals of system performance,
compliance, and clinical reliability. This role collaborates
closely with internal stakeholders, vendors, and client teams to
ensure data interoperability, regulatory compliance, and alignment
with enterprise architecture standards. Key Responsibilities:
Oversee package management activities, including coordination of
Multum, ICD-10, CPT, and regulatory content updates. Drive
distribution package analysis and installation, including
monitoring and managing of proactive checks. Manage solution
compliance, flash reviews, and exception service packages in
alignment with Cerner standards and client-specific requirements.
Attend Oracle Health/Cerner hosting calls, support technical
checks, and lead remediation efforts as needed. Participate in
change management and governance processes to evaluate impact of
integration changes on clinical workflows Collaborate with
clinical, technical, and vendor teams to troubleshoot integration
issues and drive resolution. Collaborate with Service Desk,
Application Analysts, and Infrastructure teams to ensure seamless
support across Levels 1 and 2. Responsible for environmental/domain
planning and management including regression testing after code
installs. Coordinate and plan domain copies, reference data domain
synchs (RDDS), and activity deletes ensuring a regression test plan
exists around each of these activities. Maintain current
documentation of integration architecture, data flow diagrams, and
technical specifications. Lead the design and implementation of
HL7, FHIR, and API-based interfaces between Cerner Millennium and
external systems. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in
Information Technology, Health Informatics, or related field. 5
years of experience with Cerner Millennium integration. Experience
with Oracle Health-hosted environments. Strong knowledge of
clinical workflows and system dependencies within Cerner (Orders,
PowerChart, PharmNet, etc.) Excellent problem-solving,
communication, and project leadership skills. Preferred
Qualifications: Experience working in Application Managed Services
(AMS) models. Experience with interface engines (e.g., Cloverleaf,
Rhapsody, Mirth). Understanding of HL7 v2/v3, FHIR, X12, CCD/CCDA,
