Job Description Description What You Will Do - Direct Patient
care/assessment including 24 hour on-call to set up an ECMO circuit
or to trouble shoot concerns with an ECMO patient - Coordinates,
evaluates and facilitates implementation and monitoring of
standards - Staff education/staff development - Discharge planning,
education and follow-up - Assures allocation of human and material
resources within budget - Coordinators, evaluates and facilitates
implementation and monitoring of protocols Additional
Responsibilities - Performs other duties as assigned. - Complies
with all policies and standards. - For specific duties and
responsibilities, refer to documentation provided by the department
during orientation. - Must abide by all requirements to safely and
securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our
patients. Annual training, the UH Code of Conduct and UH policies
and procedures are in place to address appropriate use of PHI in
the workplace. Qualifications Education - (BSN) Bachelor's Degree
in Nursing (Required) Work Experience - 2 years critical care
experience, completion of ECMO Specialist Training Course with 1
year ECMO Specialist experience (Required) Knowledge, Skills, &
Abilities - Demonstrated competence in critical care nursing,
interpersonal relationship skills, leadership ability, commitment
to the organization, flexible (Required proficiency) - Uses a wide
variety of technical equipment to meet education and patient care
needs{e.g cardiorespiratory monitors, IV pumps and the ECMO circuit
and equipment} (Required proficiency) Licenses and Certifications -
Registered Nurse (RN), Ohio and/or Multi State Compact License Upon
