the best experience for our customers. As a Senior Commercial
Credit Manager within PNC's Commercial Credit organization, you
will be based in Erie, Pa, Pittsburgh Pa, Philadelphia, Pa or
- Coordinates and manages all activities associated with
applicable business segment, including the credit approval process,
policy and procedural compliance and portfolio risk management,
credit monitoring, and reporting.
- Approves the extension of credit, including overdrafts, for
clients of varying degrees of complexity within prescribed approval
authorities. May also participate as member of decision-making
forums such as Prescreen, CRMC, ECRMC, SAC, RAC, etc.
- Ensures that credit facilities have been appropriately
structured, underwritten and approved within the context of credit
policies. Ensures proper execution of scorecards within parameters.
Has final approval authority on an obligor's risk rating.
- May direct and assess analytic activities of partners to ensure
understanding of portfolio issues, trends, and root causes in order
to manage credit portfolios effectively. Oversees follow-up and
analyzes output to inform decision-making. This includes attendance
at strategic market review and portfolio review meetings, etc.
Interacts with clients as necessary to perform due diligence and
support client relationship credit exposure strategy.
- Manages risk in assigned credit portfolios by reviewing
relevant reporting and assessing trends. May request ad-hoc
analytics from APM and reporting from RIM. Identifies economic,
regulatory and other trends affecting borrowers and helps
incorporate this information into the assessment of the borrowers.
Acts as a second line of defense to ensure that the institution's
credit portfolio remains within its risk appetite by providing
oversight and governance of credit granting activities. Provides an
ongoing effective challenge to first line of defense activities to

Roles at this level typically require a university / college
degree. Higher level education such as a Masters degree, PhD, or
certifications is desirable. Industry-relevant experience is
typically 8+ years. At least 5 years of prior management experience
is typically required. Proven leadership experience with a moderate
to large scope of responsibility is required. In lieu of a degree,
a comparable combination of education and experience (including
military service) may be considered.
