Description:Manager of Facilities MaintenanceProvide vision and
leadership to the overall organization through continuous
improvement and operational excellence, particularly in the
internal and external facilities maintenance. This position is
responsible for managing and maintaining the inside and outside of
the facilities and assets. This position also manages and oversees
capital expenditures, vendors, operating budgets for the
organization. The incumbent will be responsible for planning,
operating, maintaining, and executing cost efficient buying
strategies to support current asset operations, future growth, and
expansions, EHS.Requirements:Manager of Facilities Maintenance
- Develop a routine maintenance and management plan for all
company owned/leased facilities to maximize results (food safety,
operations, return on investment)
- Participates in negotiating contracts, contractors, and
suppliers through quoting process.
- Acts within corporate and strategic buying capacity to ensure
cost efficient spending is exercised in projects, departments, and
asset acquisition.
- Monitor capital spending and make recommendations to the
various business unit leaders.
- Manage all special projects related to the growth, maintenance,
and development of the various business units.
- Manage all the related paperwork, licensing, permitting,
plating, inspection, etc related to the fleet and buildings.
- Manage all mechanic and building maintenance staff.
- Manage workload provided to maintenance personnel to make
certain the appropriate staff is engaged in the appropriate
workload.
- Provides oversite to projects as required and manages
completion timelines to make certain projects completed on
time.
- Develop staff mechanical competency by providing hands on
training along with vendor training at a minimum of 4 times per
year.
- Work collaboratively with other members of the leadership team
and the others in the operations group to deliver on key customer
projects.
- Develops contingency plans to meet key performance
indicators.
- Travel, participate and potentially even entertain vendors,
customers and officials as required to support the company and the
above items.
- Performs other duties as assigned by leadership.Manger of
Facilities Maintenance Education/Experience Requirement:
- 5+ years of relevant experience in strategic buying and
budgetary control.
- 10+ years of facilities management engineering, property
management and facility repairs.
- Strong analytical skills with a focus on cost control.
- Proactive self-starter who can support multiple project
management.
- Has been successful in prior roles were partnering with vendors
and mechanical staff to complete projects timely.
- Strong relationship building and leadership skills.
Self-starter and leaders ship qualities as must
- Self-disciplined, able to perform in an entrepreneurial
environment with limited oversight.
- Very strong work ethic.
- Good knowledge of regulations and laws
- Familiarity with construction, architecture, and various
systems, such as HVAC and electrical
- Mechanic knowledge of ARPAC and Douglas repack
