Job Description:
Quality Manager Our client, a manufacturer and distributor of
more than 10,000+ products - quality, professional grade automotive
equipment, tools and other standard and custom accessories, is
searching for an ambitious and qualified Quality Manager for their
growing organization. This is an opportunity to join a
multi-faceted company and leading distribution and supplier of
automotive technology solutions that employs 500+ employees across
US, Canada and Puerto Rico. SUMMARY: You will develop, implement,
and sustain the systems required to assure the delivery of products
and services that will meet and exceed our customers' quality
requirements. You will be a hands-on manager who leads the facility
in the application of total quality activities that result in
achieving customer satisfaction, continuous improvement in
processes, and reduced total costs. You will have an understanding
of, involvement in, and implementation of the company Business
System tools and disciplines throughout the quality operations,
supporting Kaizen efforts and vendor interface in problem
resolution and product improvements. Job Requirements:WHAT YOU WILL
DO - -Achieve customer satisfaction through attainment of quality
levels for sheet metal fabricated standard and custom products,
parts, and accessories. - -Assure there is a defined Quality
Management System (QMS) that meets customer requirements, clearly
recognizes that everyone is responsible for quality, gives a road
map for improvement, nurtures quality activities and results in
meeting or exceeding market requirements. - -Develop effective
quality audit programs and procedures for all levels of audit
activity (i.e., production audits, process audits, systems audits,
and supplier audits). - -Influence quality through involvement in
the development of new and improved procedures, process
innovations, and changes in corporate culture. - -Assure
consistency of purchased components by vendor certification,
establishment of effective acceptance criteria, and product
monitoring. - -Develop and implement plans to reach company
business improvement and total quality goals, such as achievement
of customer or industry certification. - -Establish company
policies and standards relating to total quality. Interacts with
management and employees to ensure that policies are accepted and
put into practice. - -Provide advice and guidance to management in
the effort to integrate the total quality philosophy into the
Company's ongoing operations. - -Help with product engineering and
manufacturing to understand and develop optimum QMS process
routings for existing and new products. - -Lead, teach problem
solving and process control through example, mentoring, and
conventional teaching methods (from Direct Operators through Senior
Management). QUALIFICATIONS: - -Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or
Industrial Engineering preferred - -3-5 years of quality management
experience in manufacturing environment developing plant level IQS

development - -Managing supplier quality - process and development

direct hire position will be commensurate with experience and offer
