Job Description Job Description Field Service Technician: CAREER OPPORTUNITY - Field Service Technician / Millwright No experience required! Significant growth opporunities available! Dunaway is looking to hire both experienced and non-experienced mechanically inclined individuals for our Field Service team working in the aluminum extrusion press repair and maintenance business. When in-between field jobs, you would work in the shop to help assemble, build, and repair equipment. We're looking to build and expand our field team, which means we have lots of opportunity for growth and promotion! Job duties: Assist lead technician(s) in repair and maintenance of aluminum extrusion presses and associated equipment. Required experience: Must be mechanically inclined. Understand how to use basic hand tools and general understanding of how to disassemble and rebuild mechanical assemblies. Preferred experience: Experience as a millwright, maintenance personnel, or similar. Experience with welding - primarily stick and mig. Experience in aluminum extrusion and maintenance of presses. On the job training: While on the job, you will learn to service and maintain aluminum extrusion presses. If desired, you can learn welding, hydraulics, PLCs, controls, electrical, engineer, etc, etc. Schedule while in the shop: M-F 7AM to 3:30PM Schedule while in the field: Varies by job and customer requirements. Weekend work is common due to customer production schedules. Your schedule can be flexible to accommodate time off to recharge. Travel Requirements: Travel is typically 4-5 days at a time. Per diem and travel expenses are covered by the company. Typical travel would be via company vehicles. On occasion, large jobs will require several weeks of travel at a time, but Dunaway will work with the team to rotate people to the field to mitigate the length of time on the road. You should be proficient in: Mechanical Troubleshooting Skills 120/208/240/480 Voltage Systems Hydraulics Experience Electrical Troubleshooting Electrical Repair Pipefitting Skills Electrical / Electronic Systems High Voltage Systems Machines & technologies you'll use: MIG Welder Stick Welder Variable Frequency Drives (VFD) Extrusion Machine Programmable Logic Controller (PLC)
