Req ID: 26335 Summary Lincoln Electric has an outstanding
opportunity for a Mechanical Engineering Technologist, supporting
our Plant Engineering group within the Euclid and Mentor, Ohio
facilities. The Mechanical Engineering Technologist plays a key
role in designing, maintaining, improving, and supporting the
equipment, manufacturing processes, and plant-wide infrastructure.
Past Plant Engineers have worked to create the operations as we
know it today. As a Plant Technologist, you will also have a
pivotal role in supporting and executing projects across our
manufacturing facilities in the Cleveland and Mentor areas. Your
focus will be on identifying and solving technical challenges while
ensuring that all equipment and processes align with the
organization's safety, health, quality, and productivity standards.

- Collaborate in a team environment to execute capital projects
for manufacturing facilities in the Cleveland and Mentor
areas.
- Take responsibility for the mechanical aspects of projects,
which may include documentation, equipment installation, project
management, and support.
- Implement engineering solutions to improve equipment
reliability and safety, reduce operating and maintenance costs, and
effectively manage outage risks.
- Create and maintain sustainable documentation for use by
engineering and maintenance teams.
- Implement solutions that comply with ISO 14001 and
Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) initiatives to enhance
environmental and employee health and safety standards.
- Provide capital cost estimates and establish project timelines
to ensure successful completion of project work.
- Review equipment quotations to confirm compliance with desired
specifications.
- Deliver technical support to the Production and Maintenance
departments.
- Coordinate and interface with engineering, production,
maintenance, and supply management teams.
- Work closely with and often manage outside engineering and
construction personnel.
- Ensure all safety, health, environmental, and compliance
requirements adhere to the appropriate regulations.
- Provide support for various tasks as directed by Plant
Engineering managers to ensure efficient operations.
- Assumes additional responsibilities as needed or directed in
support of the Company's 2025 Strategy. Education & Experience
Requirements
- Level II Mechanical Engineering Technologist: Bachelor's degree
in Engineering Technology (Mechanical) with a minimum of 3+ years
of experience.
- Level III Mechanical Engineering Technologist: Bachelor's
degree in related fields with 5+ years of experience
- High school diploma/GED with 10 or more years of relevant
experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Candidates pay grade and compensation will be commensurate with
education & experience.
- Strong desire to take ownership of tasks and deliver
results.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
- Demonstrates good judgment, self-motivation, and a commitment
to safety.
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize work
effectively, and meet deadlines.
- Flexibility to handle diverse assignments and adapt to changing
priorities.
- Ability to perform hands-on work when needed and work
collaboratively on the shop floor with employees and
processes.
- Technically proficient in CAD modeling. Preferred systems:
Solid Edge; AutoCAD.
- Willingness to occasionally work off shifts, travel between
facilities in Northeast Ohio, and travel as required. Lincoln
