Sanitation Technician (Part Time)

Job Description:Primary FunctionThe Sanitation Technician performs cleaning and sanitation of the entire interior of the building as well as the maintenance of overall grounds appearance and cleanliness.

Reporting RelationshipThe Sanitation Technician will report to the Director of Maintenance. In the event the Director of Maintenance is not available they will report to the Operations Manager.

Job Duties/Responsibilities

• Work with the Maintenance team to ensure high standards ofcleanliness, hygiene and tidiness in all areas of the facility.
• Clean warehouse floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or withfloor scrubbing machinery.
• Gather and empty trash.
• Continuously seek and make improvements to overall housekeepingfunctions of the facility.
• Perform heavy cleaning duties, such as cleaning floors, washingwalls and glass, and removing rubbish.
• Performing light routine maintenance activities, notifyingmanagement of need for repairs.
• Clean, dust and remove debris from, walls, machines, and equipment.
• Drive vehicles required to perform work, such as Forklifts orScissor lifts.
• Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and powerequipment.
• Move heavy furniture, equipment, and supplies, either manually or byusing hand trucks.
• Collect and process damages and lose product from the facility.
• Notify managers concerning the need for major repairs or additionsto building operating systems.
• Other duties as assigned by Manager.
