Job Description Job Description Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1 years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A full-time Special Education Teacher position is available to support students in grades K-2 at a K-12 school located in Warren, MI. This contract role extends from ASAP through June 11, 2026, serving onsite only. The focus is on providing instruction and support for students with cognitive impairments. Key Responsibilities: Deliver tailored instruction to students with cognitive impairments in grades K-2 Implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) with fidelity Collaborate with school staff and families to support student progress Maintain a positive and structured classroom environment Participate in ongoing professional development and meetings Qualifications: Valid Special Education teaching license with CI (Cognitively Impaired) or ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder) endorsement Certification in Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) or willingness to obtain and renew annually Experience working with young students in special education preferred Ability to work onsite full-time Location: Warren, Michigan (Hilbert Elementary School) This opportunity offers the chance to make a significant impact on students lives in a supportive educational setting.
