Job Description Job Description Position: Substitute Teacher Location: Russell, PA 16345 Focused Staffing Group is seeking a dedicated and adaptable Substitute Teacher to assist our partner school in educating, motivating, and inspiring students. In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on students' learning experiences by stepping into the classroom and providing effective instruction in the absence of the regular teacher. Your ability to engage students and maintain a productive learning environment will be essential to their academic success. Responsibilities Assume the duties of the classroom teacher in accordance with school district lesson plans, school rules, and Focused Staffing Group policies. Lead classroom instruction by effectively conducting the teacher’s existing lesson plans. Instruct students on a variety of subjects and topics, ensuring that learning objectives are met. Build positive relationships with students to foster a supportive and engaging classroom atmosphere. Assign reasonable tasks and homework to reinforce learning objectives. Motivate students to learn and encourage active participation in classroom activities. Create a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate for the maturity and interests of students. Adapt teaching methods to accommodate various learning styles of students. For long-term assignments, develop lesson plans as needed, and create, administer, and grade tests and assignments. Minimum Requirements Bachelor’s degree in any discipline. Compliance with Pennsylvania guidelines for education clearances.
