Candidates should be committed to undergraduate education, research, and service to the university. The position will be responsible for teaching courses in one or more of the following areas: polymer melt rheology, mold design, polymer melt processing (including injection molding, blow molding, thermoforming, and/or extrusion), plastic part design, thermodynamics, and/or heat transfer. The selected candidate must be able to work in a collaborative environment and establish a research program that integrates undergraduate student experiences. Applied research and collaboration with industry are highly valued as part of Penn State Behrend's Open Lab initiative. A Ph.D. degree in plastics, polymer, mechanical, materials, chemical engineering, or related field is required by appointment date.Penn State Behrend is an undergraduate and graduate college of The Pennsylvania State University.
