Job Description:

CLE and LRIS Coordinator/Administrative Assistant The Continuing Legal Education (CLE) and Lawyer Referral & Information Service (LRIS Coordinator is a full-time position. Coordinator must be courteous and flexible as they handle the day-to-day administrative needs of the Erie County Bar Association along with CLE programming and LRIS referrals. Work is performed independently within established ECBA protocols, rules, and guidelines. Functions and responsibilities are as listed.Continuing Legal Education (CLE):Organize Continuing Legal Education programming. This includes, but is not limited to, securing speakers, reporting all aspects of the seminar on , organizing Zoom meetings and webinars, handling/troubleshooting audiovisual needs (including but not limited to lighting and microphones) participant registrations and day-of needs such as room arrangement and food service. Organize and schedule PBI seminars as needed. Additional knowledge of audiovisual equipment set-up is needed.Lawyer Referral & Information Service:Intake and referral of phone calls through the LRIS and courteously triaging as needed, monitoring membership expirations and insurance, credit card processing and handling client survey mailing and responses. Refer people not appropriate for, or interested in, a referral to a lawyer, to other available community services and resources for assistance. Manage cases and follow-up data entry. Build good working relationships with attorney members and potential clients. Troubleshoot client/lawyer problems before forwarding unresolved matters to Executive Director. Monitor fee payments and resolves any discrepancies. Track received case status reports/case summary questionnaires, clarify CSR/CSQ notes from lawyers and update database records including accurate transfer of lawyer notes. Contribute to staff meeting discussion on resolving problems and improving productivity.Staff Liaison to Attorneys and Kids Together (AKT and Wills for Heroes):Meet with Committee Chair(s) and leadership committee on an as-needed basis. Schedule Committee meetings and support the Committee as they determine annual mentoring programs. Contact area shelters and school guidance counselors to coordinate student needs. Occasional sopping for school supplies and clothing as needed. Handle "Wills for Heroes"-- - computer and packet distribution and follow-up as needed.Programmatic Projects:Provide oversight and/or support for ECBA programs including: Lay Day, Roberts Scholarship and the AKT 5K Run/Walk. This includes assistance with organization event oversight, marketing materials, etc.Other duties as assigned:Answering he ECBA main telephone line, handling all mail and package delivery, manage ECBA correspondence as needed (including email and mailing labels), occasional photography, off and on-campus event needs, ECBA Courthouse runner, etc.Experience:-- - Associates degree in related field-- - Minimum 5-years experience in customer service position-- - Computer knowledge o Microsoft Office, Zoom and other as-needed platforms-- - Ability to work independently or as a team member.Job Type: Full-timePay: From $16.50 per hourBenefits:401(k)401(k) matchingDental insuranceDisability insuranceFlexible scheduleHealth insuranceLife insurancePaid time offRetirement planVision insuranceSchedule:8 hour shiftMonday to FridayCOVID-19 considerations:We abide by Erie County COVID protocols.Ability to commute/relocate:Erie, PA 16507: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)Education:Associate (Required)Experience:Microsoft Powerpoint: 1 year (Preferred)Work Location: One location
